Patrick Bannigan is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for American Century Investments®.

Mr. Bannigan, who joined the company in 2012, is responsible for Finance, Product Management and Development, Investment Operations, Client Operations, Facilities & Real Estate and Information Technology. He is on the American Century Companies Board of Directors and serves on the firm's Management Committee, a senior leadership team responsible for establishing and executing strategic priorities.

He is co-executive sponsor of American Century’s Emerging Professionals business resource group, which provides a variety of professional and career development, community involvement, and networking opportunities that helps facilitate the development of a variety of skills, equipping employees to become the future leaders of American Century Investments.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Bannigan was with RiverSource (now Columbia Management and part of Ameriprise Financial), where he served as President of RiverSource Funds and Senior Vice President and General Manager of RiverSource Investments. In that role, he was responsible for managing the overall business, including the operational aspects of the investment management division. Previously, Mr. Bannigan was Managing Director and Global Head of Product for Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM), where he oversaw the management and development of MSIM's retail and institutional product lines.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Bannigan served as President of Touchstone Investments, a third-party wholesale distributed and subadvised mutual fund provider. He also had experience with Evergreen Investments as Director of strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions and product development.

Mr. Bannigan holds a bachelor's degree from Guilford College (Greensboro, N.C.) and a J.D. from the Oklahoma City University School of Law.
