Tsuyoshi Ozaki Joins American Century Investments®

Tsuyoshi ("Yoshi") Ozaki, Ph.D. joined American Century Investments July 31 as a portfolio manager within its Disciplined Equity group. He co-manages the U.S. Disciplined Large Cap Growth (Disciplined Growth/NT Disciplined Growth), U.S. Disciplined Large Cap Long/Short (AC Alternatives® Disciplined Long Short), and U.S. Utilities (Utilities) strategies, reporting to Vice President and Portfolio Manager Yulin Long, Ph.D., CFA.

"Yoshi is a seasoned investment professional who has demonstrated quantitative expertise as a portfolio manager and researcher," said Vinod Chandrashekaran, Ph.D., chief investment officer Disciplined Equity. "I'm delighted to welcome him to the team."

Ozaki, who has worked in the investment industry for more than 18 years, joined American Century Investments from Axioma Inc., where he served as director and senior member of the Global Equity Analytics team, supporting the quantitative and portfolio analytic requirements of large, sophisticated quantitative asset managers and hedge funds. Previously, he served as executive director of MSCI Inc., was a senior quantitative researcher with Quantal International Inc., and served as a portfolio manager on the Japan Equity Market Neutral strategy for Algert Coldiron Investors LLC prior to that. He also held roles at MSCI Inc. and Moody's KMV.

Ozaki holds a bachelor's degree in biophysics from Columbia University and a Ph.D. in neuroscience from Rockefeller University.
